Introduction

PRP & PRF Injections

Before we reach our 30s we start to lose volume in our faces, which can include under the eyes, in our cheeks, and around our mouths. In our 40s and 50s, the skin and muscles in our faces and necks stretch from collagen and elastin loss. PRP and PRF are all-natural solutions to treat these aging signs and more. These treatments are a great way to battle the signs of aging and regenerate the skin. In fact, doctors have been helping athletes heal injuries for years using PRP and PRF, with the treatment having even been shown to be highly effective at reducing deep wrinkles, crepey skin, fine lines, dark circles, marionette lines, and reversing hair loss. With PRP and PRF injections in Birmingham, MI, our Metro Detroit clients can experience many improvements in their complexion at Skin Boutique. What are PRP & PRF Injections?

Learn about PRP & PRF Injections

PRP injections are a minimally invasive treatment that can help reverse visible signs of aging and skin damage. PRP (Platelet-rich Plasma) is derived from the patient’s blood and contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. This treatment harnesses your body’s natural healing ability to facilitate collagen production and wound repair.

As an additional anti-aging measure, Skin Boutique also offers PRF (Platelet-rich Fibrin) injections. Much like PRP injections, PRF can dramatically reduce the signs of aging in the facial creases, under the eyes, around the mouth, the temples, and even the neckbands and décolletage. PRF is the next generation of PRP and is made up of high-concentration of white blood cells, fibrins, and stem cells that are part of the body’s bloodstream. PRF is more of a time-released treatment and offers a “filled” look for up to two weeks while the majority of benefits happen over time.

PRP and PRF can treat a wide range of skin concerns, including:

  • Aged and sun-damaged skin
  • Crow’s feet
  • Deep depressions around the nose and mouth
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Fine lines
  • Sagging around the jawline
  • Skin texture and tone
  • Smile lines
  • Under eye hollows and dark circles
  • Volume loss in the cheeks
  • Wrinkles on the face, neckbands, and chest

What to expect?

PRP & PRF Injections Expectations

Your PRP or PRF injection appointment begins with one of our nurses taking vials of your blood then spinning it in a centrifuge, and depending on the speed, will separate the red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma, or platelet-rich fibrin. Then, it can be strategically injected to address your concerns. Your results will continue to progress as collagen builds and cells are regenerated in the weeks and months ahead.
